Cassper Nyovest Announces Annual All-White Party to End 2022

0

We have formerly stated how luxurious Cassper Nyovest’s life is, everything about him screams extravagant, he even rapped about this on the song ‘Pardon My Arrogance’ amongst other songs. Even a detractor like Nota Baloyi had to christen Cassper the Jay Z of South Africa. Last year Cassper christened his brand of luxury lifestyle “skabahemisa.” After adding a McLaen to his already stacked automobiles collection which includes two Bentleys and a Rolls-Royce, he has announced this year’s edition of his annual all-white party at his luxurious mansion.

“Next week it’s the Annual Billiato All White at my crib. The scene will be insane! Too clean! Let’s go! #BilliatoAllWhite, he tweeted.

The party is usually invitation based and last year’s also served as the launch for his Don Billiato alcohol beverage brand. Black Coffee was the official DJ and this year promises to be even more massive and glamorous.

Cassper Adds New Don Billiato Diamond Piece to Expensive Jewelry Collection

0

‘Ice’ is a very important part of a rapper’s aesthetic and branding, rappers are known to splash ridiculous amounts on diamond, gold and even platinum pieces be it watches or neckpieces they even sing about their love of ice in their songs, Durban rapper Lucasraps even has a sog titled ‘Johnny Dang.’ Everything about Cassper Nyovest is big as the state of Texas, his boasting on the mic, his shows, his businesses so it’s no surprise he has a jewelry collection that can rival a lot of people’s car collections.

Last year Cassper tweeted about his newly acquired jewelry piece for his birthday “New chain alert. Early birthday Gift. Dropped 70 000 pounds not Rands. It’s been a good year!!! Don Billiato!!!,” he tweeted.

Around the same time, Tibip spoiled his baby mama on her birthday with an Oyster Perpetual Datejust 36 Rolex Watch, with a bright blue diamond set and a jubilee bracelet costing R164,900.

“It’s Baby Mom’s birthday, so I bought her her first Rolex. Here’s a video of me surprising her. Shout out to @the_watch_channelsa for helping me find the perfect piece. A 31mm date just with a factory diamond dial. Happy birthday Mama ka Boy @bexxdoesitbetter . Love you forever! You are a real one!,” tweeted Cassper.

Now Abuti Fillup after filling up Mmabatho stadium in his hometown of Mafikeng has decided to also fill up his jewelry set with a new piece.

The piece inspired by his Alcohol beverage brand Don Billiato is a diamond-encrusted ‘B’ but Nyovest has not revealed how much it cost him, but we can guess he indeed broke the bank to get that one custom made. Let’s see of this one can give his spinning family tree pendant a run for its money in popularity amongst fans.

As expected the dominant genre in the last five years Amapiano has more than a handful of artists gracing the list, but Mzansi hip hop is not far behind as it has three emcees representing on the year-end list.

The highest placed of these emcees is without surprise Blxckie, who set the record for most plaques received by one artist in one year with about 15 certification plaques to his name, although against the other genres he is ranked at #4 trailing big names such as Maphorisa and Kabza Da Small.

Second highest placed emcee on the list is Durban born self-proclaimed ”Zulu Man With Some Power” Nasty C. Nasty C has only released a handful of singles in 2022 but somehow garnered enough streams from the Ivysons to end at #6 on the list and also became the African rapper with the most Youtube subscribers.

Despite putting out a lot more music than Junior, Reece trails behind at #10 on the list and at #4 on the MTVBase Hottest Emcees list for 2022.

Fans Crown Priddy Ugly and Emtee Best Storytellers in SA Hip Hop

0

Storytelling is undoubtedly one of the pillars and important of rap lyricism, veterans like Slick Rick and the Notorious B.I.G built enviable legacies for themselves using their storytelling prowess, and a lot of the most respected hip hop figureheads past and present are storytelling Wizards. Fans of SA hip hop have recently crowned Angola-born SA rapper Ricardo Moloi popularly known as Priddy Ugly the best storyteller in SA hip hop, alongside Matatiele-born emcee Emtee.

“Give @emteerecords his flowers bafwethu. Lomjita uyahlanya with the pen. I reckon him and @ItsPriddyUgly are the best storytellers in the country,” Twitted a fan on the bird app and Priddy Ugly wasted no time in giving Emte his flowers by quoting the tweet.

“Emtee is a great talent, loves his family & is definitely one of the best songwriters of our time – how can anyone not want to see him win, he should definitely get his flowers,” tweeted Priddy Ugly.

While Priddy Ugly has shown his storytelling prowess on several songs over the years including songs like ”30 Minutes To Soweto,” ‘1632‘ to name a few, Emtee has one record that clearly highlights his storytelling abilities and that is the title track from his 2017 sophomore album ‘Manando’ A song about his mentor in high school who gruesomely lost his life to gun violence, the same friend taught Emte how to play the Marimba.

Emtee is preparing to release the third installment of his ‘DIY‘ mixtape series, there is no definite news of when the album is coming, so for now, go back in time and listen to ‘Manando.’

Before you go, Kitz has this to say about himself.

“My name is Kitz. I am popularly known as the TRAP STAR. I am a Trap rapper from the North West region of Cameroon. Born in 1995. I am one of Cameroon’s most consistent and most celebrated Trappers. I found interest in music especially Trap back in the days of high school formation and since then I have musically branded myself in every possible sphere.
I count myself lucky to be part of the new wave of rappers in Cameroon now. In this present age, culture is changing far more frequently than ever before, reflecting styles of music that are evolving daily, the reason why my music is unique. My music reflects the culture of our day. You can see the fingerprints of a certain generation in my lyrics and sound.
My motivation as an artist/Rapper is to be able to tell a story and paint the picture of every hustler caught up in life’s tussles and hustles to make out the best of it. I am the voice of the street and I am always ready to project the story of at least a cross-section of youths out there in their strive and thrive to survive.
I want to use my music as a tool to convey a message to the mass, integrating social ills, circumstances and day-to-day experiences about those generally considered to be hustlers and the street in general. WELCOME TO MY WORLD”

Have You Heard Of The First “Nigerian Music House” Acquired By The Pretty Okafor Led PMAN?

The Performing Musicians Employers Association of Nigeria (PMAN) has finally broken the over 40 years jinx of existing without its own property.

The PMAN executives led by the president, Mr Pretty Okafor, have acquired a multi-million-naira Edifice in Lekki, Lagos to be used as the corporate office. This is part of the union’s strategy for the ongoing biometric card registration drive being implemented in conjunction with Zenith Bank.

The PMAN president maintained that the decision to acquire a property in highbrow Lekki is borne out of good business sense. According to him, it is to reposition and rebrand the union as well as bridge the gap between PMAN and the new generation of artists.

“We consider it necessary to have a business office that is accessible to the artists’ community and corporate sector in Nigeria. We want to ensure that musicians are receiving proper remunerations for their creative works both at home and abroad. Through the acquisition of this property, we are sending an important message to Nigerian musicians and the corporate sector that PMAN, the Nigerian music industry powerhouse, is back in business.” he said.

Okafor explained further that the National Working Committee (NWC) of PMAN deliberately chose Lekki for the new corporate office because it’s the new epicentre of the Nigerian entertainment industry.

“You know, our former rented office was located in Ikeja but we decided to acquire our own property in Lekki. It’s a deliberate decision we made because Lekki is the new hub for the Nigerian music industry. It is the hotbed for the new wave of Afrobeats culture. Lekki is where the Gen Zers of Nigerian entertainment reside. he noted.

Describing the newly acquired corporate office as a fully detached 5-bedroom duplex, the PMAN boss revealed that it is equipped with different ultra-modern facilities including a digital music library, Radio station, conference rooms, and VIP lounge among others.

The new PMAN headquarters will have different ultra-modern components including the president’s office, digital music library, conference rooms, VIP lounge, membership registration booth provided by Zenith Bank, and other necessary offices, Okafor disclosed.

Meanwhile, PMAN has vowed to enhance its presence in all the six geo-political regions of Nigeria, as the association would soon embark on data capturing of its over six million potential members across the country.

A date for the formal opening of the new PMAN headquarters will be announced via the association’s official website. www.pman.ng
