Gwala Mnandi on the way, Jungle Loco set to release Album on the 30th of September

Rapper Jungle Locco speaks on his upcoming album Gwala Mnandi, he gives an insight talking about how it entails and explains the sweetness of money. The project comes with it being more of a hustle oriented body of work. (Money) This what actually makes the world spin; money, moola, gwala, nyoso!! It is what keeps the entire world on its feet. The spectrum is huge on what money can motivate mankind to venture into and how it can be a sweet poison too.

Gwala Mnandi the album, mood wise, it’s like a hustle and social skill lecture given from the perspective of a big brother also real talk coming from a happy place. Leaves you stuck between soulful and blissful.

Jungle Loco: recording wise, I recorded as I penned the project in like 6 months max!! And there are a total of 15 tracks. The production is relatively better than Bata Mastreets. I’m always trying to outdo my last/previous projects. I love soulful melodies if I’m to go deep with it, pianos, strings, pads, sub basses and jazzy basses. Also adding hard hitting percussion and low pitched basses on turn-up tracks. The vibes should be different from what’s already out there. Has to be super-Jungly

He talks about how he draws influence from some of the greatest rappers to hold a Mic with the illmatic star Nas, Jay-Z and Nu Clique (the rappers on old Decibel songs).

Production credits go to
John The Producer
Wecyd Will
HooLan Wolf
Pepzee
Bless Beats
Cyp
Dj Sqkatta
Cyber 101

The album will be released for streaming on Audiocus but it will be sold for $5 a copy and purchases can be done via Ecocash, Mukuru, Access Forex, World Remmit etc.

There will be Gwala Mnandi merch which was designed by Free Apparels & Baggit which will be sold along with the album as well.

AKA and Nasty C after sending tongues wagging about their collaboration for months, finally released the audio and visuals of the Afrobeats influenced ‘Lemons’ which is now a strong contender for song of the summer amongst South African music fans and partygoers. ‘Lemons (Lemonade)’ is currently doing pretty well on the charts with many people sighting Nasty C’s verse as standout feature on the track, AKA’s infectious hook and the dance moves that accompany the video.

K.O’s ‘Sete’ wich just about a month ago is still dominating charts and radio waves all over South Africa, leaving Kiernan’s banger in its wake, traling behind on every chart in the country.

‘Sete’ is currently occupying the number 1 spot in Durban, Capetown, and Johannesburg, three of the biggest cities in South Africa.

AKA’s Lemons is occupying the number 2 spot and its Top 4 on Spotify daily charts.

AKA tweeted his frustration about K.O stopping ‘Lemons ‘getting’ to the top position on the charts, the tweet read. “F*ckin’ SETE making my life a misery!”

AKA has received praise not only from his Megacy fanbase but also from other South African celebrities for his ability to stay relevant even after going through a difficult period.

‘Podcast And Chill’ host, MacG also stated that AKA is the best hip hop artist to ever come out of Mzansi due to his knack for always reinventing himself as evident in the release of Lemons (Lemonade).

“I think Kiernan is probably the best hip-hop artist to come out of this country after hearing that song,” the dreadheaded MacG said.

Emtee Earns Three Gold Plaques for His Third Album

0

Former Ambitiouz Entertainment star and African Trap Movement forerunner have garnered three different gold certification plaques for his 2021 album ‘Logan.’ The gold plaques are for the singles ”Ithemba,’ ‘Long Way’ and ‘Logan.’ Logan is Emtee’s long-delayed third album and follow-up to 2017’s ‘Manando.’

Emtee has had a rough but steady climb back to the top since his nasty legal scuffle with former label Ambitiouz Entertainment.

Seems like the Matatiele-born rapper is finally getting back to his old self after beating a ‘lean’ addiction and recently gave a spectacular guest performance on two songs on Nasty C’s recently released Ivyson Army Tour Mixtape.

VIDEO: Rick Silver DaStarLion Drops Visual or “Snitching” Featuring Askia.

Cameroon Rapper, Rick Silver has employed the lyrical prowess of his Cameroonian colleague, Askia (Mami Bakala) on this new tune titled “Snitching”.

The rapper was quoted as saying;

“I don’t get why you hating your brother

I don’t get why you hating your sister

We could be better if we working together

For our better tomorrow”

Meet Rick Silver

Hard-hitting beats and melodic hooks set the stage for the rhythmic vocals of Richard Siver Nyuydze AKA Rick Silver DaStarLion. His bumping trap rap features clever lyrics and tough concepts. Rick Silver is delivering a revolutionary version of inspirational hardcore hip-hop. His music is a reflection of our innermost emotions and human experience, like pain, love, peace, God, the streets, etc. Songs by Rick Silver DaStarLion motivate and uplift audiences, encouraging them to find strength and belief in themselves.

Born in Kumbo, located in the Northwest Region of Cameroon, Rick Silver is currently based in Douala, Cameroon. His nickname “DaStarLion” comes from the motivation his father gave him when he was young, calling Rick, “Richard the Lion Heart,” and telling him he was destined for greatness. Coming from the slums and one of the poorest parts of his country, he’s been through harsh storms of life, experiencing trials and tribulations of all sorts along the way. He grew up listening to music, impacted by the work of artists like Kendrick Lamar, Eminem, Wu-Tang Clan, DMX, and J Cole. Hip-hop became a solution to his struggle, serving as an outlet for innermost traumas. Music allowed him to process sad emotions, battle depression, and overcome an inferiority complex.

Unique with his style, Rick Silver makes sure any song he writes is inspirational, for the streets and slums.

J.MOlley Opens Up About His Failed Suicide Attempt on his Birthday

0

South African emo rapper Jesse Molley popularly known by his stage name J.Molley celebrated his 25th birthday on 18th September 2022 and amidst the celebration shared some intimate information with fans.

The ‘I Don’t Know’ hitmaker revealed that about a year ago he had attempted to take his own life and luckily he survived.

The rapper posted a birthday appreciation message that read:

“Happy birthday to me. About a year ago I died on the operating table after a suicide attempt choking on my own blood coming out my nose and mouth. By a miracle I was brought back to life and fought for 4 days in ICU. My girlfriend saved my life and got me out that bathroom into the ambulance with the help of my close friends. I then hit rock bottom as if I thought I had already.

After being admitted into a psychiatric prison cell against my will, 24/7 lockdown for a week with nothing but me. Worst thing I’ve ever been through but it made me stronger than ever.

I haven’t been suicidal ever since and today I celebrate another year on this earth. If I can make it out so can you. I’m here for a reason ain’t no doubt  Can’t wait to see how fate plays out.”

“Thank you for all the birthday wishes and the love. I’ll tell the whole story one day. Show me some love in the comments let’s celebrate life today!” he ended the message.
