Portable In Intellectual Theft? Cameroon Rapper Kitz Accuses Controversial Nigerian Artist, Portable

Cameroon Rapper, Kitz has called out Nigerian Artist, Portable over imitation. The ‘Voice Of The Street” crooner took to his Facebook page to state;

“I remember contacting Portable telling him i rep the streets in Cameroon and we could do a song together. I sent him links and he even subscribed to my YouTube channel. Last week i woke up to portable naming his Album « Voice of the Streets » same as i had named my album VOTS months before his. As if that was not enough yesterday he named the first song off his album « Aza Man » Same as i had named the first song off my album. Everyone here can bear me witness. The truth is if i copied from a Nigerian artist like this Cameroonians will be on my head. That’s a Nigerian artist copying from your own. What are you going to do? Let it go or say it’s just a coincidence lol. If i catch this peri portable eeh some slap wey i give e. Pima!”

VIDEO: Rick Silver DaStarLion Drops Visual or “Snitching” Featuring Askia.

Cameroon Rapper, Rick Silver has employed the lyrical prowess of his Cameroonian colleague, Askia (Mami Bakala) on this new tune titled “Snitching”.

The rapper was quoted as saying;

“I don’t get why you hating your brother

I don’t get why you hating your sister

We could be better if we working together

For our better tomorrow”

Meet Rick Silver

Hard-hitting beats and melodic hooks set the stage for the rhythmic vocals of Richard Siver Nyuydze AKA Rick Silver DaStarLion. His bumping trap rap features clever lyrics and tough concepts. Rick Silver is delivering a revolutionary version of inspirational hardcore hip-hop. His music is a reflection of our innermost emotions and human experience, like pain, love, peace, God, the streets, etc. Songs by Rick Silver DaStarLion motivate and uplift audiences, encouraging them to find strength and belief in themselves.

Born in Kumbo, located in the Northwest Region of Cameroon, Rick Silver is currently based in Douala, Cameroon. His nickname “DaStarLion” comes from the motivation his father gave him when he was young, calling Rick, “Richard the Lion Heart,” and telling him he was destined for greatness. Coming from the slums and one of the poorest parts of his country, he’s been through harsh storms of life, experiencing trials and tribulations of all sorts along the way. He grew up listening to music, impacted by the work of artists like Kendrick Lamar, Eminem, Wu-Tang Clan, DMX, and J Cole. Hip-hop became a solution to his struggle, serving as an outlet for innermost traumas. Music allowed him to process sad emotions, battle depression, and overcome an inferiority complex.

Unique with his style, Rick Silver makes sure any song he writes is inspirational, for the streets and slums.

South African emo rapper Jesse Molley popularly known by his stage name J.Molley celebrated his 25th birthday on 18th September 2022 and amidst the celebration shared some intimate information with fans.

The ‘I Don’t Know’ hitmaker revealed that about a year ago he had attempted to take his own life and luckily he survived.

He put to rest the questions of why he has not been dropping new music and what he was up to during his hiatus in the last three years.

“Happy birthday to me. About a year ago I died on the operating table after a suicide attempt choking on my own blood coming out my nose and mouth. By a miracle I was brought back to life and fought for 4 days in ICU. My girlfriend saved my life and got me out that bathroom into the ambulance with the help of my close friends. I then hit rock bottom as if I thought I had already.

After being admitted into a psychiatric prison cell against my will, 24/7 lockdown for a week with nothing but me. Worst thing I’ve ever been through but it made me stronger than ever.

I haven’t been suicidal ever since and today I celebrate another year on this earth. If I can make it out so can you. I’m here for a reason ain’t no doubt  Can’t wait to see how fate plays out.”

“Thank you for all the birthday wishes and the love. I’ll tell the whole story one day. Show me some love in the comments let’s celebrate life today!” he ended the message.

Reason Calls Out AKA for Saying Rappers Who Switched to Amapiano are Vultures

0

Amapiano artist Sizwe Alakine formerly known rapper Reason has called out his industry colleague AKA for certain provoking lyrics on his latest song ‘Lemons’ with Nasty C.

The lyrics read ”People say “Hip hop died”, that’s nonsense / Thank God they showed their true colours / Switched up piano like vultures.”

Reason took to Twitter to speak his mind about the sentiments of the Cape Town rapper’s words and he how he feels about it, stating that AKA has is showcasing double standards and not living what he preaches.

The tweet read “Hearing @akaworldwide say “Thank God they showed they true colours/ Switched up piano like Vultures” is problematic to me. Especially from a hip hop artist saying this on an Afrobeat record. Like… who you talking about exactly?”. Reason went on to say “031 Choppa, Big Zulu, Costa, Blxckie, Reason, Kwesta… are all hip hop artists who make piano. Does that line mean @akaworldwide considers all of us as vultures for that? Like? You make AfroBeat records my nigga. Why you the only one that can “switch” genres???

Enjoy the visuals of Lemons below.

The Blessings You Tap From Giving To… Orphans Are Unquantifiable. – Rapper Ko-C

Cameroon’s serial hitmaker @ko_c visited some orphanages in his hometown Kumba to provide some basic necessities to orphans there

Here is what the singer/rapper had to say about this act of his:

“I have always loved to give back to the needy, most especially the orphans. Giving back to the needy is partnering with God almighty and He is always faithful with His partnerships.

The Ko-c Foundation in collaboration with Boch Global Service took the initiative to visit some orphanages in the Southwest Region KUMBA and provide the kids with basic necessities and school materials to kickstart the academic year.

The blessings you tap from giving to the vulnerable most especially the orphans are unquantifiable. That’s why giving little can help a lot. Special thanks and appreciation to Kumba City Mayor Mr Greg Mewanu for his support.”

What do you make of this selfless gesture of his?
