A-Reece Shares His Top 5 SA Lyricists List

0

A-Reece who is known as one of the best lyricists in Africa over the last decade just launched his label with his brother Jay Jody and TKay from the rap group Benchmarq. During the launch, Reece shared a list of the top 5 lyricists he looks up to and influenced him from the plethora of rap talents Mzansi has seen.

Baby Boy named AKA as the only active rapper on the list, knowing Reece’s love for Kiernan in his early days this was no surprise to day one fans. The rest of the list comprised late or no longer active veteran emcees Pro Kid, HHP, Stogie T and Zeus.

“Stogie T definitely, I always Music From My Good Eye, this album that sh*t f*ck me up you know when I was telling in primary school I was like damn how can someone put on words together like this, you know like this sounds amazing,” he said.

He added; “so I say Stogie, Pro, rest in peace Pro, you know what bro I see him as like a Jay-Z in terms of the craft because it’s like no matter what Pro did if it was on an average level, you just have to put it on a pedestal because it’s like, he is just too great at what he does.”

“Zeus. I said Pro, I said Stogie, HHP, i mean dawg he made Mostwako fashionable rest in peace HHP, he said. Zeus from Bostwana, fifth I’m gonna have to say because i feel like I’m forgetting but let me go a little more towards the younger generation these n*ggas, yo AKA Levels changed my life, 24/7 365 that sh*t changed my life AKA too bro,” he said.

Cassper Nyovest Apologizes To Emtee Again

Cassper Nyovest took to his Twitter page to tender an official apology to Emtee. In the tweet, he wrote;

“It’s all love Emtee. I’m sorry I hurt you. I told you to your face that I was sorry about the incident. You’re a very talented individual. I want the best for you. Hopefully we can sort it out and move forward. I love you big dawg. See you soon”

In the past, the rappers have previously spoken up about their tainted relationship.

Speaking to Pearl Thusi in an interview on BET’s Behind The Story, Cassper said their fallout happened because Emtee ignored him when they were meant to record a song.

“With Emtee we were supposed to go to the studio. He switched off his phone. I was so excited to be in the studio with him but he mized (ignored) me. Not only him, there’s a lot of people who mize me.” Cassper said.

Emtee explained Cassper’s claims in an interview on Mac G’s Podcast And Chill, saying he had feared that the rapper would be disingenuous.

“I don’t wanna rock up there and have him feeling like, eh, so I wanted to pull up respectfully by myself. But then again, knowing the dude I don’t want no weird headlines to come out tomorrow. You find out that maybe while we were in the studio he acted like we were cool and we’re recording, Kante he is taking a video of my crack,” Emtee said.

Migos Member Takeoff Shot and Killed in Dice Game Altercation

Kirshnik Khari Ball popularly known by his stage name Takeoff, was an American rapper who was one-third of the hip-hop duo Migos, alongside his uncle Quavo and his Cousin Offset. Ball was killed earlier today November 1, 2022 in Houston, Texas after a shootout broke out during a dice game involving Quavo and his affiliates and some mob-related guys.

Sources close to The Migos reported that Ball was hit by accident as he was not actively involved in the Dice game nor the altercation, it was reported that Quavo was the one involved in the game and altercation.

Takeoff was said to be in the corner and when the fight broke out, everybody began shooting and a stray bullet hit Takeoff leading to his demise.

There haven’t been official statements from Offset and Quavo, nor their family members yet.

Ball was 28 years old and had been an active member of The Migos for over a decade releasing over four multi-platinum selling albums and acclaimed mixtapes with the group.

Ball was known for his fast, split-second triplet flow that made him a lot of fans’ favorite member of The Migos.

Apart from his work with The Migos, Takeoff also dropped a solo album ‘The Last Rocket‘ in 2018 under Quality Control Music and Capitol Records.
