Choppin’ It With Ex Global: The Aftermath

As The Wrecking Crew again becomes the topic of online discussion, with many fans reminiscing through the group’s hit songs, Bhuda T used it as an opportunity to invite former members, Ex Global and Ecco to chop it up.

During the past decade, the South African music industry witnessed the emergence of The Wrecking Crew who were rich with musical talent and would go on to leave a lasting impression on fans and industry mates alike.

As many fans had hoped, Ex and Ecco were forthright and firm, opening up about their crew’s impact and commercial success, as well as the negative influences within the group leading up to its ultimate disbandment.

The chat began a lengthy online discourse where Ex Global found himself at the center of attention ready to shake the table a bit more to reveal unknown truths about the details of his relationships with his former bandmates.

Not My Fault: PsychoYP Readies Next Single With Ajebo Hustlers.

Not My Fault

Nigerian rapper, songwriter and performer, PsychoYP has just announced that his next single “Not My Fault” will be released on the 9th of June.

The rapper who took to Twitter to make this revelation also disclosed that the record will be featuring none other than the Nigerian Port Harcourt duo, Ajebo Hustlers.

The rapper who is currently gearing up for the release of his next project “Osapa London” has continued to keep his fans wanting more over the years by delivering world-class music at all times.

A Recap Of What You Missed At $TREETFE$T IX

This past weekend, the 9th edition of the youth-popular $TREETFE$T was hosted at the AGOG Gallery in Maboneng to a large crowd of attendees.

Fans got to witness some of the best talent in the country where the likes of headliner Nasty C, Loatinover Pounds, Money Badoo, as well as Dj Switch and the festival founder Benjamin (Not Benjamin) among many others, performed at the highest level for their supporters.

Leading up to the event, patrons participated in various competitions including the freestyle contest where emcees had to rap over a pre-selected instrumental (Benjamin – Festive Season) for a chance to perform at $TREETFE$T.

Nasty C Drops “Born To Win” Visuals | New BBC 1Xtra Freestyle

Coming from a huge announcement of his upcoming joint tour with Cassper Nyovest, Nasty C brings us the visuals for Born To Win featuring Emtee.

Taken from his 2022 Ivyson Army Tour Mixtape, Nasty C and Emtee perform the song roaming through a city leading a crew of men walking behind them. 

Although having also featured on Aye alongside Blxckie in the same project, Emtee last collaborated with Nasty C on Avery (2015) in a track titled Winning, though they continue to maintain a good relationship.

As Nasty C prepares to release an album soon, we hope to hear another Emtee collaboration.

The group is working on their latest project after a series of solo releases. They have been making waves, with the latest single by Mr Right enjoying great reception from the fans.

Buruklyn Boyz has maintained their top status by ensuring quality production. This is, therefore, a chance for the dopest producers to collaborate with one of the best drill artists out of Kenya.

With a preference for creative beats, they have provided an opportunity for producers to show off their best works. The chosen beats will make it to their latest project 58Flavour.

58 represents Buruburu, the estate they hail from. This, therefore, will be a showcase of the best that the East has to offer.

Lekan Salamii Celebrates Birthday with “ITAN” (Story) Episode 1

Gospel indigenous rapper Lekan Salamii celebrates his birthday on the 3rd of June by documenting his life journey and putting it out as a song.

Lekan Salamii formerly known as Oluwatomi released a song tilted “Itan.” Off his forthcoming tape “Agba Ijebu”, in 2018. “Itan” which means “Story” in Yoruba language. Lekan Salamii narrates his life story in this song as he celebrates his birthday on the 3rd of June 2018. “Story of my life, modupe mo wa alive.”

This year 2023, Lekan Salamii speaks about his life and journey from the very beginning up until university days, which includes when and where he was born, his academic struggle and friends, and he tags this the re-delivery of ITAN 2018.

Lekan Salamii, also says in 2024, he will speak on life after university, work, career, postgraduate, relationships, marriage and where he might be in 2024. Lekan says this is the type of music he loves to create.

Nxrwth Reunites with $pacely, RJZ & Sky Kuu On Burn

Back with a bang from hiatus, young Ghanaian producer Nxrwth reminds us why he was a force to reckon with when La meme gang was running Accra’s youth culture. The hiphop producer reunites with fellow La meme Gang members $pacely and RJZ on the nostalgic Trap joint which also sees a guest appearance from long term friend Sky Kuu.

The song’s production is centered around Nxrwth’s urge to push the “Afro-Rage” culture, a sub-genre that consists of Afrobeats and Trap, a trademark that has been powering La Meme from the start.

King Kaka teases new music as he wraps up his tour in L.A

Veteran rapper King Kaka took to Twitter to share a brief snippet of the latest project he is working on while in Los Angeles, USA. The Kenyan artist just concluded the Madaraka tour, which saw him stage shows across various cities.

The rabbit king stayed in his element as he represented the 254 on the global stage. He also represented the greatest Kenyan artists with his creative graphic t-shirts.

While in LA, he shared a behind-the-scenes snippet while on set shooting a video of an upcoming project. The video is in collaboration with one of LA’s finest Yelohill.

King Kaka aims to take his music international and has a history of working with the best in the game globally. This ambition makes him raise the bar high to motivate his peers.

This latest project is titled “Rhymebook Ya Nutcase” and is scheduled for release in June. Fans are to expect a very dope project judging from the snippet he shared.
