We are in the last quarter of the year, and yes, we are used to the fact that Zambian rapper – Ruff Kid usually releases music videos at such a time.
Well, last week Ruff Kid released his first video for 2019 titled “Levels”

The video features sexy Zambian ladies who are seen having fun at a house party.

Some Zambians and critics have complained about Ruff Kid’s video – saying that, the video contains more explicit content than educational content.

In his response to the critics, the “Money Kingdom” lead singer – Ruff Kid had this to say in a phone call with ZambianMusic.net

Levels is a monster hit, but my bars don’t sound like any other Zambian rapper’s bars. This is because people don’t like anything unfamiliar. When something different comes up, our very own Zambians react ati Zambia is a Christian nation. But I believe in breaking boundaries.

This is why I have survived in this music game for this long. Trust me, with time Zambians will appreciate my craft – said Ruff Kid

SA Hip Hop Fans Reach Out To Mufasa #CassperSAHipHopNeedYou

SA Hip Hop Fans Reach Out To Mufasa #CassperSAHipHopNeedYou. SA Hip hop fans have spoken and it seems they feel the genre is dull with the absence of Cassper Nyovest.

The Move For Me hitmaker hasn’t released any Hip hop single in a while. His last releases consisted of Amapiano and Kwaito elements. The shift from Hip hop evoked criticism but didn’t stop him from dishing out different music showcasing his versatility.

Tsibip also once made a comment of how people who like his music aren’t hip hop fans but people from all walks of life.

My fans are not hip hop fans. It’s people from all walks of life. I have to cater for my market. Besides that, Hip Hop don’t see me as their guy anyway. I’m the other guy & I’m enjoying just being myself without these unwritten SA hip hop rules. I just wanna be Nje & have fun.

The last time he had people on their feels with his raps was when he dropped some bars on Mass The Difference track What’s Wrong With Me.

Mufasa is now trending because fans miss him, in fact they claiming the genre is dead without him.

Is Cassper Ditching Hip Hop For AmaPiano For Good?

Is Cassper Ditching Hip Hop For AmaPiano For Good? Over the past few months Cassper has been slowly withdrawing himself from the raw hip hop sound to test his versatility. While dropping a series of songs mixed with Kwaito and House music, some people criticized him.

The criticism got to him and he ended up venting on how he feels disregarded by SA Hip Hop.

My fans are not hip hop fans. It’s people from all walks of life. I have to cater for my market. Besides that, Hip Hop don’t see me as their guy anyway. I’m the other guy & I’m enjoying just being myself without these unwritten SA hip hop rules. I just wanna be Nje & have fun
Cassper

To add into his reason of switching into AmaPiano he said that hip hop enthusiasts called his music trash so he decided to “Kokota Piano”

Earlier this year he made mention of how SA hip hop has so much hate and called for unity.

South African Hip Hop has sooo much hate. Dawg, My success is your success, your success is my success!! We are Hip Hop!! Why does it have to be like this? I don’t understand…I remember the days we used to celebrate that a hip hop artist won best male…Now it’s dark.                Cassper
