Julius Malema Opens Up About Helping Fifi Cooper

0

Ambitiouz Entertainment is notorious for its bad contracts and legal battles with former artists who want out. While A-Reece and Emtee are the most popular example of an artist who had a fall out with the label and pubicly put them on blast, some other artists were not so vocal about their departure like Motswako boss lady Fifi Cooper who left in 2017 alongside the first wave of artists to exit the label.

EFFpolitician and South African Member of Parliament Julius ‘Juju’ Malema while being interviewed on MacG’s podcast and chill revealed that he stepped in to help Fifi Cooper, real name Refilwe Boingotlo Moeketsi, with her nasty legal feud with Ambitiouz which has led to a steady decline in her finances and career.

“I did. I like helping artists because they are underrated in South Africa, and they are not given the special attention they deserve because, without them, we would be a depressed nation.” Julius Malema said.

The Mostwako song recently released a song to address her battles and feuds and people that turned their backs on her.

Since the first exodus other artists that have fallen out with the label include Priddy Ugly and most recently Blaq Diamond.

Cassper Nyovest Sighted on Set of ‘Ooh Aah’ Video

A few weeks after having SA social media in a frenzy with his energetic, controversial, and namedropping verse on Fakaloice’s ‘Ooh Aah’ song also featuring late veteran rapper Riky Rick, Cassper has been spotted on the set of a video shoot draped in military regalia.

Cassper’s verse on the song’s audio sparked several debates on Mzansi Twitter and a back and forth with new age rapper and Amapiano artist Focalistic whom Cassper namedropped on the song…saying ‘I inspired everybody even Foca.’

Focalistic took to social media to denounce the claim that Cassper inspired or made him, a back and forth ensued, and the dust has not really completely settled.

On the video set, Cassper is seen in complete military regalia complete with a South African flag embedded beret and military ranks on his coat, miming the words to his verse into a camera.

A casting call was made for fans in Johannesburg to turn up to be used as cameo extras in the video during Riky Rick’s verse as Riky died a few months ago from suicide.

American Rapper Danny Brown Accuses One Half of South African Rap Duo Die Antwoord of Sexually Assaulting Him

Detroit rapper Daniel Dewan Sewell popularly known as Danny Brown during an appearance on the podcast 2 Bears, 1 Cave, said that the South African Afrikaans rapper, Ninja sexually assaulted him in Paris by sitting on his lap and attempting to kiss him.

In the interview, Brown alleged that Ninja who is the lead rapper of the group Die Antwoord tried setting him up with his female group member and girlfriend Yolandi being used as bait to seduce Brown into sleeping with Ninja.

The n***a was sitting on my lap trying to make out with me, and it freaked me out,” Brown said. “I played this show and then my DJ had an afterparty. [Ninja] tried to put it on you with Yolandi [the fellow member of Die Antwoord] like, ‘You know what I’m saying? My b***h ready to…’”

Brown later said that Ninja asked what hotel he was staying in, to which Brown refused to share. Instead of taking Brown’s no for an answer, Ninja allegedly responded, “‘Don’t worry, I’ll find you.’” “That’s what started making me pound drinks because I’m like, ‘I might have to stab this n***a tonight,” Brown continued. “Because if this n***a knock on my hotel room door, bro, it’s gonna be a big deal.”

Die Antwoord is a South African alternative hip hop group formed in Cape Town in 2008 and made up of male lead vocalist Ninja and female counterpart Yolandi.

They have been very controversial since their rise to stardom due to their eclectic style and use of shock value in both their lyrics and videos. At one point the duo were accused of appropriating Lady Gaga‘s style and this led to a feud between the duo and Gaga.

Brown isn’t the only person making allegations towards Ninja. In 2019, Australian artist Zhenai Sparkes accused the South African artist of sexually assaulting her in 2013. Also in 2019, Dionna Dal Monte said that Ninja sexually assaulted her in 2014.
