These African Emcees Were Spotlighted at the BET Hip Hop Awards 2022 Cypher

The BET hip hop Awards is one of the biggest co-signs any emcee of the genre can dream of, it is one of the biggest stages to spotlight the genre and the cyphers have a cult following and a somewhat sanctimonious aura to them.BET in recent years has been trying to work with their subsidiary, BET Africa, to include the motherland and showcase her talent to the world.

In this year’s edition of the well-coveted awards ceremony, several African emcees were given platforms to showcase their skills to the world including Benzo, VenusRaps, Tyson Sybatelli, 25K, Stino Le Thwenny, Buzzi Lee and Flash Ikumkani from South Africa, and Kelechief, and A-Q from Nigeria.

In 2018 A-Reece, Nasty C, Shane Eagle, Kid Tini, SjavA, and Gigi LaMaye had the opportunity to hold it down for the continent. The cypher led to the endless battle f who had the better verse between Reece and Nasty between the slimes and the Ivysons till date.
