With just over a week since his passing, Kiernan “AKA” Forbes’ family and team, in their grief and mourning, have stayed professional and united through preparations for the rapper’s memorial, funeral, and overall album rollout.

As fans eagerly wait for Mass Country to arrive, AKA’s team shares the album’s tracklist and back cover ahead of its release this Friday.

Mass Country tracklist

The star-studded tracklist features some of our favorite artists including Thato Saul on Mbuzi Freestyle, Nasty C in the previously released Lemons (Lemonade), as well as Kiddominant on the newly dropped single, Company.

The art cover is rich with a plethora of symbols that represent South Africa and the continent at large. From the 10 cent coin, maize, and broken infrastructure, to the African map, the diamond, and the Gusheshe. The cover epitomizes the characteristics of our beloved land.

The production of the project is credited to the likes of Zädok, Tshepo “Teddy” Moloi, and AKA himself.

At the beginning of February, the rapper boasted in a series of tweets about how he just may be the greatest South African Hip Hop producer of all time considering that he’s produced 90% of his songs.

Fans of the late rapper will finally get to hear the new music he’s been working on for over 2 years. Be sure to set your reminders and check back on Friday when Mass Country officially drops.
