South African producer, Nhlawulo Mashimbyi, commonly known by his stage name MashBeatz aka The President is, is leading a revolution from Pheli. He took to his Twitter account on June 8, 2022, to announce his forthcoming joint album titled ‘Life is Gangsta’ with budding Pretoria rapper, Thato Saul. The album will be their second as a duo.
Mashbeatz is known as the 808 God in Giyani, and is the creator of rapper A-Reece’s hit singles ”Meanwhile in Honeydew” and ”Zimbali”.
‘Life is Gangsta’ slated for Friday 10 June 2022, will contain thirteen tracks, including a surprise feature from former collaborator A-Reece. The two were both thought to be involved in a cold beef by fans who read meanings lyrics and tweets from both parties.

Mash and Thato’s latest single ‘Never Ride’ hit 400k views on Youtube in one month, Thato may not be the new A-Reece to Mash’s genius, but it’s definitely a match made in 808 heaven.
