Former Ambitiouz Entertainment rapper Anele Mbisha, known all over South Africa and beyond as Saudi, has finally let fans in on his music plans after returning from a long hiatus that lasted since his debut album in 2017 till date. The rapper recently announced that he will be dropping his much anticipated sophomore album soon and is open to collaborating with other artists in South Africa.
Saudi had disappeared from the music scene immediately after his collaboration with ScHoolboy Q & 2 Chainz, “X”, was featured on Black Panther: The Album, in 2018.
Fans assumed he was busy making the follow-up to his debut album ‘DRUGS Inc,’ he had announced would b called ‘Japan 4’ and would drop in 2018, however that album never manifested and fans did not hear from Saudi again save for back and forth legal battles with Ambitiouz Entertainment until he left in January 2021.
The rapper last dropped in 2020 when he dropped ‘The Drip’s Leak’ mixtape which was well received by fans all over S.A.
Saudi is back and has announced a project titled ‘Msotra Don’t Die’ and has asked artists in SA who want to work with him to reach out, however, he has limited the gesture to just established artists. Saudi has said that he has a good feeling about how the project will pan out.
