Kirshnik Khari Ball popularly known by his stage name Takeoff, was an American rapper who was one-third of the hip-hop duo Migos, alongside his uncle Quavo and his Cousin Offset. Ball was killed earlier today November 1, 2022 in Houston, Texas after a shootout broke out during a dice game involving Quavo and his affiliates and some mob-related guys.
Sources close to The Migos reported that Ball was hit by accident as he was not actively involved in the Dice game nor the altercation, it was reported that Quavo was the one involved in the game and altercation.
Takeoff was said to be in the corner and when the fight broke out, everybody began shooting and a stray bullet hit Takeoff leading to his demise.
There haven’t been official statements from Offset and Quavo, nor their family members yet.
Ball was 28 years old and had been an active member of The Migos for over a decade releasing over four multi-platinum selling albums and acclaimed mixtapes with the group.
Ball was known for his fast, split-second triplet flow that made him a lot of fans’ favorite member of The Migos.
Apart from his work with The Migos, Takeoff also dropped a solo album ‘The Last Rocket‘ in 2018 under Quality Control Music and Capitol Records.
