AKA’s Mass Country has just earned a gold certification a little over a week since its release, but it was no surprise. The project has been shown love by the megacy and music lovers alike, posting screenshots listening to their favorite songs and celebrating Forbes’ life.
The announcement was made by AKA’s team, who also recently shared the song’s airplay stats from Radio Monitor where Company appeared at number 1 from 24 February to 2 March.
The Kiddominant-assisted track became many people’s favorite – even long-time rival, Cassper Nyovest admitted to liking the song right after its release.
Just last year, the album’s lead single, Lemons (Lemonade) with Nasty C, gained over a million YouTube views within its first month (currently sitting on over 4 million!). AKA couldn’t contain his excitement when he shared the news of the success of his hit song once it went gold.
It’s a bittersweet reminder that AKA is not here to celebrate this achievement, however, the megacy is keeping his legacy alive through his music.
