Should we expect any Trap songs from Rave N Roses?

Must Read

Nigerian new age Afrobeats and Trap artist, Divine Ikubor, popularly known as Rema, released the tracklist for his highly anticipated debut album dropping this Friday, 25th March 2022.

The star-studded tracklist boasts of several A-list foreign artists including Atlanta native, 6lack, R&B veteran Chris Brown, and UK rapper AJ Tracey who was featured on the latest single from the album, Fresh Young Nigga.

Speaking of Fresh Young Nigga, the single is sonically referred to as AfroRave by Rema, a fusion of Afrobeats, Afropop, and hip hop/ Trap-esque elements. This proves that Rema is open to exploring different genres and sounds on Rave N Roses.

The last time Rema dropped a Trap song was Alien way back in June 2020, prior to this he had released an all Trap Extended Play containing four Trap songs that were formerly freestyles on Instagram.

Rema had gone on IG live last year to play some snippets of unreleased Trap songs that could make the album, let’s hope they make the final cut.

Rema and 6lack had previously collaborated on 4 AM, an Afrobeats song by Manny Norte in 2020. The hip-hop community would really love the East Atlanta Trapper to be more in his comfort zone on their upcoming collab on Rave N Roses. Meanwhile, below is the official trailer for Rave N Roses released early this week.
