The African Giant and Nigeria Grammy Award Winning Act, Burna Boy has got people talking even more about his silence and non-participation in the ongoing Nigerian election. With other celebrities like M.I Abaga, Falz TheBahdGuy, P-Square, Seun Kuti, Brymo and more being vocal about the election and electoral process, people have been calling out Burna Boy to speak or get involved.

Burna Boy finally took the bait and spoke up on why he isn’t keen on supporting or getting involved with the ongoing #NigeriaDecides2023 Election. Check Tweet Below.

THE BIG QUESTION here is; Do we need someone with influence to endorse a political candidate or get involved in election activities one way or the other just to boost our confidence or motivate us towards the process?

Some Nigerians have been reacting to Burna’s outburst – while some are of the opinion that his involvement would have boosted the confidence of his fans, others felt it was not really that necessary.

Below are a couple of the reactions so far…

“Why do you even need anyone to tell you who to vote for?” – Victor Terhemba

Solo Bankole had to dig out a short video interview of Burna Boy in the “Shopping For Sneakers” Podcast talking about his non-involvement in politics or its affairs.

And Motolani Alake validates Burna Boy’s choice of sitting on the fence.

Kossy Martins is of the opinion that if Burna Boy had come out to vote, things might have been a little different.

We found this fan’s comeback at Burna Boy very deep.

Check out this one last hilarious reply from Burna Boy in the tweet below and tell us what you think about the whole “Sitting on the fence” saga.
