Mashbeatz opens up on his regrets about being in The Wrecking Crew

Must Read

Raving South African music producer Nhlawulo Mashimbyi, popularly known by his stage name Mashbeatz, revealed on Zingah’s podcast ‘Choppin’ It With Bhudha T,’ that his biggest regret while being part of A-Reece’s super collective, The Wrecking Crew, is that they never got to release a body of work as a whole collective.

Bhudah T, who previously went by the rap names Zingah and Smashis, asked Mash if the crew got a chance to drop something together as one unit and he responded, “no bro, that’s one thing like, if I got any regrets that is the one.”

The President, as he is fondly called by fans also gave the disclaimer that although they did not release a project, The Wrecking Crew which composed of Mash, Reece, Wordz, 1000 Degreez, Mellow, Ecco, Flvme, Ex Global, B3nchmarq and Tyga Bankz, still put out a ton of music as several artists and as a group.

“But we put out a lot of sh*t, so it still feels like we have been out here, you know. We put out a quite of records, maybe three, four joints, it’s not a lot of joints that we put out as a crew like collectively as The Wrecking Crew,” The Limpopo born producer told Bhudah T.

The Wrecking Crew’s short-lived reign birthed hits like ‘Welcome To My Life,’ ‘Tell Me What You Want’ amongst others, and Mash produced two albums of his own and one Reece album, with Wrecking Crew members featuring heavily on the tracks.
