Joey Bada$$ is Back ”Where He Belongs” on New Single.

Must Read

Just after two weeks since his well-received collaboration with Chance the Rapper, an undelivered album release date, and a BET Awards performance, Brooklyn rapper Jo-Vaughn Virginie-Scott, popularly known as Joey Bada$$ has released the lead single to his upcoming third studio album.

The single titled ‘Where I Belong‘ is an ode to Joey Bad’s Brooklyn and Pro Era and self-conscious hip hop roots, as he spits bars around the same kind of subject matters he explored on his earlier projects, especially his Magnum Opus mixtape ‘1999.’

True to returning to his roots after taking a long hiatus from music to tend to his Hollywood career and even taking home an Oscar in the process, Joey shoots the video for ‘Where I Belong’ in a skate park in Brooklyn in the same low-budget style of his ‘1999‘ era videos like ‘95 to Infinity‘ and ‘Waves.’

The video is directed by Waqas Ghani and edited by both Joey and Ghani. Scott is yet to announce a new date for the release of his third album ‘2000.’
