As hip-hop music continues to dominate airwaves on a global scale, it’s no doubt we see its impact in various communities around the globe. One such place is Zimbabwe, where a bunch of undiscovered (or unheard) talent resides. This year fans of the art are in for a treat as a number of hip-hop heads and enthusiasts have come together to produce the inaugural Zimbabwe Hip Hop Summit.
The Zim Hip Hop Summit will take place on the 30th of September 2017 in the capital of Harare. The conversation will see hip-hop heads, artists, activists, enthusiasts and related stakeholders converge to discuss, critique and shape the industry into a viable and sustainable sector. The Summit has been organised in partnership with Shoko Festival and the Jibilika Foundation.
